THE FEDERAL REFERENDA
THE LABOR MANIFESTO. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Melbourne, March 7. The Labor Party's referenda manifesto has been found. It makes an urgent appeal to vote Yes, and points out that the Commonwealth laws dealing with combines and the new protections have been found unconstitutional, and unless the people are content to be exploited, without attempt at retaliate, and to be ruled by trusts, the constitution must be amended. The Federal Government does not intend to intrude into the domain properly belonging to the States. There is absolutely no question of unification. The effect of the referenda will be to increase the self-governing powers of electors.
