To-day's shooting has been under most ideal conditions throughout, and thu day's business has been heavier than usual, comprising the 800 yards stage of the Neison match, the Canterbury | match, 800 yards loophole moving tar-, get, and the sectional iiring match. In addition to this long list, an extra match was got off. The shooting has been, on the whole, quite in keeping with the meteorological conditions, and although many failed to get reasonable scores, otherg who under I the bad conditions of the previous days' cracked up, had courage revived by their j to-day'a performance. j In the Nelson Match, 800 yards range,' Drummond (Westport), counting backj with a possible from 500 yards, put on 48, which gave him pride of place. Dun-| can (Wellington) got the possible at' this range, which with 47 at the 500 yards range, gave him second place. | Possibles were also made by Smaill (Kaitangata), Henderson (Sounds), Watt (Westport), Harris (Karori), Turner (Suburbs), Croxton (Wellington), Comes (Ohinemuri), Feast (Opaki).
