A Hawera telegram reports that the Racing Commission visited Southern, Taranaki yesterday morning and inspected the Waverloy, Patea,. and Egmont courses and properties. Members of the Racing Commission visited New Plymouth yesterday afternoon for the purpose of inspecting the local racecourse. They '.vere met on arrival by representatives "f the Taranaki Jockey Club and taken to the course.' TURF TOPICS. The secretary of the Opimake Racing Club advises that Laity Heroine's correct weight in the Opi'nake Racing Club Handicap should t 7.6. In the list telegraphed it appeared at 7.3.
