MR. CARROLL ACTING-PREMIER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, March C. In view of the departure of Sir Joseph Ward and Dr. Findlay the Cabinet portfolios have been rearranged. The Hon. Jas. Carroll will be actingPremier, and in addition to his own portfolios will be Minister in charge of the Crown Law, Advances to Settlers, Electoral and National Annuities offices. The Hon. J. A. Millar takes t'he Treasury, Friendly Societies, State Guaranteed Advances, Land and Income Tax Departments.

The Hon. Geo. Fowlds will take Defence, Jjiistice, Police, and Prisons, and PiiWic 'lTealth Departments.

The Hon. T. MacKenzie takes Post and Telegraph, Advertising and State Forests.

The Hon. R. McKenzie takes Customs. The Hon. D. Buddo takes Land for Settlement and Land Settlers' Finance.
