In the lire brigades' competitions today the following were the results: Reel and ladder event (commenced on Saturday).—Tirnoru (30 3-asee) 1; Jnvercargill (111 4-.") sec) 2; Onehunga (02 ]-ssec),3; Wamramii, ({|;i 4-;>se, including 4see penalty) 4; Grevmouth (05 l-flsee, 2sec penalty), Reefton, Stratford, C'aversliam, llokitika, Alexandra South and were disqualified. Manual engine event. Carterton 1, Xapier 2. Hastings 3, Spit 4. Kumani 5, Wanganui 0. Rescue event (two men). Dunedin City (2:) sec) I, Xapier ?, Greymouth 3, Onehunga I, Wanganui o. Timarn Railway li. Dunedin City and Xapier tied in the first run. Ladder race. —Dunedin City 1. Masterton 2, Wnhnate 3. Onehunga 4, Invereargill i), Xapier <i. The winners' time was 7min 25sec. In the dry coupling event, which eventuated on Saturday, Dunedin City and Hokit.ika tied for second place. In the run-oir to-day the visiting team was successful.
