THE FRENCH MINISTRY
THE REAL LEADERS INDICATED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Paris, March 5. In the debates referring to the political situation M. Combes was described as honorary President, and M. Jaures, the Socialist leader, as impresario to the Government. A MINISTERIAL STATEMENT. Received 6, 10.50 p.m. Paris, March 6. A Ministerial statement published points out that the majority of strikers have been reinstated, excepting those convicted of sabotage and those persisting in their insubordinate anarchical attitude. The' Government will ask the railway companies to follow the State's example in the interest of social pacification. The statement foreshadows the enforcement and reform of secularisation laws. The Government desires a pacific policy abroad, based on existing agreements, and the security offered by the army's ever-increasing strength.
