The Consumption Conference considered it desirable that sanatoria should be established, and a large proportion of consumptives be admitted for a period for instruction and training in the precautions to be taken. The admittance of consumptives to the general wards of hospitals>and prisons was deprecated; separate accommodation should be provided. JThe conference also considered that the-State Governments should attend to the housing and maintenance of the wives and families of necessitous consumptives.

The consumption conference discussed bovine tuberculosis, and recommended that the Agricultural Departments be granted legal power to deal with such; and also that rooms previously occupied by consumptives be disinfected by Government officials.
