Extensive lands had been secured in Damascus and Haifa, and the Zionists were creating further difficulties to compel the Government to have recourse to them. Sir Ernest Cassel, he said, had played a great role in the matter. The Grand Vizier refuted the allegations, and said that Sir Ernest Cassel was the sincere friend of Turkey.
