SUPREME COURT.
SESSIONS AT HAMILTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Edwards, Tawhi Moanaroa was found not guilty of cattle-stealing. Hemi Haupapa, on a similar charge, was found not guilty. Akati Hone, for horse-stealing, was detained for reformatory purposes for three years. George Washington Long, a farmer of To Awamutu, was charged with discharging a 3hot gun at Thomas Frederick Bond, with intent to do grievous bodily harm. After hearing the evidence on both sides, His Honor said that were he in the jury's place he would acquit the prisoner. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty without leaving the box. Long was surrounded by friends and neighbors on stepping from the dock, and was warmly congratulated.
In divorce, Harold Pearce White was granted a dissolution of marriage with Mary White, on the ground of desertion.
