A boxing tournament to-night was largely attended, and the contests were highly interesting. In a six-round bout Sharplin (Ashburton) beat Watsou (Timaru); Fitzsimmons beat Lister (both of Timaru). In the middleweights, Hegarty (Timaru) beat Ellis (Wellington).
