A NATIONAL LEAGUE FOUNDED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, Received 1, 10.50 p.m. London, .March 1. The Lord Mayor opened the Industrial Training Conference at the Guildhall. His Majesty the King and Messrs. Asquith and Balfour sent expressions of hearty support. Lord Brassey, Lord Hugh Cecil, and others spoke. It was resolved to recommend legislation to establish, at the expense of tlie State, a national system of industrial, professional, and commercial training free to all scholars, preparing them for entry into pursuits wherefor they arc best fitted. A National Industrial Education League was formed.
