MR. OSBORNE'S OPINION. By Cable—Press Association—Copj'right. London, February 28. Mr. Osborne, the railway employee whose action secured the Osborne judgment, addressing a Liberal meeting at Walthamstow, said "there would be no liberty in the industrial world if the majority of'employees was able to say "You shall join the union before you are able to work, and, once in, shall adopt the political or religious principles submitted to you." What the Liberals wanted was®the representation of the people. Members must be paid, He eulogised the Australian system of purely industrial trade unions, including men of all shades of politics.
