A "DRESSING-DOWN."
IMPERTINENT LETTER TO A MINISTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At the Magistrate's Court this morning a man who applied to have a maintenance order reduced received a severe dressing-down from the Bench because he had°written a letter to the Minister of Justice, asking to have pressure brought to bear on the Magistrate. Mr. Bishop, S.M.. said the man was impertinent, and he was a fool to imagine that pressure could be brought to bear on a man in a judicial position. He had never heard of a more impertinent action.
