BRITAIN'S TENANT FARMERS
AFFECTED BY THE LAND BOOM. By Gable—Press Association—Copyright. London, February 24. Earl Carrington, speaking at York, announced that a departmental committee would inquire into the position of tenant farmers upon a change of ownership. In consequence of the number of estates being thrown upon the market, which Lord Carrington attributed to the boom in land, the feeling of security which hitherto had existed regarding most large estates had been undermined, and tenants were haunted by the dread of being turned out.
