MARLBOROUGH ACCIDENTS. By Telegraph.—Prewt Association. Blenheim, Friday. A serious accident occurred yesterday at Fern Flat, Havclock. George Cozens, while mustering, fell down a steep hillisde 200 feet high, and sustained terrible injuries to his back, and the base of his skull is fractured. He is now in the hospital in a precarious condition. His brother was shot accidentally in the same place a few years ago. W. Simpson was felling a tree, when it fell on him, and his shoulder blade was broken. DEATH FROM HYDATIDS. Christchurch, Last Night. Thomas Sutherland, an elderly man, who had been living at Hoonhay for some time with another old man named Melo, died suddenly yesterday evening. He was seen about his house in his usual good health in the afternoon, and was found dead at 6.45 p.m. There were no marks of violence on the body, and nothing to indicate the cause of death. A post mortem examination indicated the presence of' extensive hydatids, Sutherland having been for many' years a shepherd. DROPPED DEAD. Invcrcargill, Last Night. Lachlan McQueen, aged 58 years, who had been in the employ of the Railway Department, dropped dead near his home this evening. The cause was heart disease.
