A SCENE AMONGST MEMBERS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 25, 12.15 a.m. New York, February 24. There was a furious scene in the House of Representatives during the debate on the Alaska Coal Lands Bill. Mr. Mondell, of Wyoming, called Mr. Wickersham, of Alaska, a liar, and Mr. Wickersham tried to knock Mr. Mondell down. Members interfered, the struggle lasting several minutes. The sergeant-at-arms was requisitioned to restore order, after which both members apologised to the House.
