THE LITHGOW STRIKE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 23, 9.35 p.m. Sydney, February 23. The Lithgow strikers have refused Mr. Hoskins' terms for resumption, and the refusal resulted in the engine-drivers leaving work. Mr. Bccby'.-s decision to prosecute the strikers is the outcome of a request by Mr. Hoskins. SCHOONER ASHORE. Received 23, 9.35 p.m. Sydney, February 23. The schooner Australia was driven ashore during a strong blow, and there are small hopes of salvage. THE EASTERN. Received 23, 11.5 p.m. Sydney, February 23. The Eastern has been docked and it is found that (>9 plates are more or less damaged, and 41 will have to come out. The rolling chocks are also seriously damaged.
