A cablegram from Lord Desborough states that the dates of the Festival of Empire sports are from June 24 to July 1, and will include running events over ■various distances from 100 yds to a mile: hurdling, I2oyds and 440 yds; swimming. 100 yds and a mile; tennis, singles; wrestling, middle-weight; boxing, heavyweight.
