MINING
The malinger of the Silverstream Co., Maratoto, i wired as follows at the end of last week:—"Rich sulphide ore, Corbett's reef; footwall 9in.; hanging-wall Oin.; making assay, ore body; widtli Oft." Mr. Bewley informs us that this is very encouraging for the 'prospects 01 the Tellurides Proprietary, Ltd., as every foot driven on Corbett's reef brings the face nearer to the Tellurides ground, and the face of Corbett's reef is now only a short distance away. At a recent meeting of directors of the Tellurides Proprietary Company, it was decided to immediately instal a complete compresser plant. It is expected that the rock-drill will be at work within four weeks from date, when rapid progress will be made to intersect the Telluride lodes at a depth of 400 ft below the surface of the Gordon claim, immediately adjoining the Silverstream.
