BRO. W. M. PERRY FAREWELLED. There was a very large gathering of the Masonic fraternity at the Robe-street Hall on Wednesday night, thoroughly representative of all the local lodges, to bid farewell to Bro. W. M. Perry, organist of the Mount Egmont Lodge, who is leaving shortly on a trip to England. The chair was occupied by Wor. Bro. H. Potter, with his guest seated on his right, and on his left Wor. Bro. R. M. Corney, W.M. of De Burgh Adams Lodge, and P.M. Wor. Bro. J. W. Wilson, of the Ngamotu Lodge. After the brethren assembled had done hearty justice to the good things set before them, the chairman proposed the health of the guest of the evening, a toast which was honored enthusiastically. The proposer referred" to the very valuable services cheerfully rendered to the Masonic craft in New Plymouth by Bro. Perry,, and in -asking him to accept as a token of the brethren's appreciation the jewel of his office, wished him a pleasant journey and a safe return to his lodge. These wishes were cordially echoed by other speakers, including Wor. Bro. J. W. Wilson, Wor. • Bro. Corney, P.M. Bro. W. H. Haddrell, and Wor. Bro. Asher, 'mention being made of Bro. Perry's willingness to assist as musical director at installations at any of the lodges. Bro. Perry briefly thanked the members for their kindness I and their good wishes. A very pleasant : evening was spent with music, song and story, the programme including songs by Bros. Perry, Broome, Batson, Humphries, Nixon and others, storiettes by Bro.
