WELCOME RAINS

After seven weeks' dry weather, and when the district was parched up and bush fires threatening serious damage, a light, steady, and persistent rain commenced to fall at 2 p.m. 10-tlay. Prospects are favorable for its continuance. A week's rain would be socially welcome. Though the dry kpell has been very severe, Feilding lias u<xt an abundant supply of water for all purposes from the reservoir.
