Received 20, 0.30 p.m. Melbourne, February 20. Hammond biplaned from Altona Bay to Geelong, a distance of 45 miles, in §5 minutes. FRENCH ARMY PURCHASE. Received 20, 10.30 p.m. Paris, February 20. The army has purchased fifty aeroplanes, and a hundred airmen are being trained.
