PROTEST BY BRITISH SHIPOWNERS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, London, February 17. Upon a resolution from the Glasgow and Liverpool Associations, the London Chamber of Shipping unanimously resolved that the New Zealand Shipping Act of 1910 and the Australian Navigation Bill prejudicially affected the British shipping. The Chamber urged the Imperial Conference to consider the matter and protest against the diminishing sphere of employment of British ships owing to their exclusion from the inter-colonial trade.
