IMPLEMENT MAKERS' STRIKE

MOVEMENT SPREADS RAPIDBY. By Cable—Press Association— Copyright. Received 19, 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, February 18. The agricultural implement makers' strike is spreading. The carpenters and ironworkers of the various firms affected will come out in sympathy. Of sixteen implement makers' establishments in the metropolis ten are now closed, as far as the Unionists are concerned.

The Amalgamated Society of Engineers has decided to make a common cause with the implement makers, and to ask all its members to cease work in shops where non-unionists are employed.
