EXCITING ACCIDENT IN AUCKLAND HARBOR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. Three young lady members of a visiting theatrical company had a rather alarming experience yesterday. They had been enjoying an outing on Takapuna beach, and when the time came for them to re-cross the harbor they accepted the offer of some yachtsmen to be taken home in their craft. The young ladies embarked on a dinghy in which their hosts proceeded to row them to the yacht. The journey was nearing its end, when suddenly a wave caught the dinghy, and the next moment saw the young ladies struggling in the water. They were got safely on board, but when the yacht itself was nearing Devonport, a gust of wind caught her, and all hands were thrown into the harbor. An excellent exhibition of swimmiiig was provided by the ladies, and eventually all reached the shore, The next ferry steamer for the city had amongst its' passengers three soaked and unhappy-lookim* maidens.
