THE NO-LICENSE PARTY
A MANIFESTO PREPARED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Monday. Seen after the no-license meeting in the Opera House this evening. Rev. .1. Dawson, general secretary of the New Zealand Alliance, said that at the hist meeting of the executive, after careful consultation with the party throughout the Dominion, the following manifesto was agreed upon:—(1) That a Bill shall lie introduced in the next session of Parliament amending the Beer Duty Act, so as to bring breweries under the power of the local option vote; (2) that no candidate ior Parliament who maintains the present undemocratic three-fifths majority can have the support of the New Zealand Alliance; (3) that every member of the present House and every person who announces himself a candidate shall be requested to state plainly what his attitude shall be on the majority question.
