In reply to representations made by him, the Hon. 0. Samuel received a telegram from the Prime Minister informing him that the Government will bo pleased t® receive an independent report from Mr. J. D. Henry on the on lields of New Zealand. There is nothing fresh to report from Moturoa. Bo til wells (No. 2 and No. 3) are still flowing large quantities of oil, and god progress is being made with the drilling at No. 3 and No. 5.
