A FATAL OVERDOSE. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Waihi, Last Night, i Sophia Ellis, wife of A. T. Ellis, electrical instructor at the Waihi School of Mines, died at the W'aihi hospital last evening under unusual crcumstances. Ic appears that deceased, who was suffering from rheumatism, inadvertently look an overdose of sodium salicylate previous to her admission to the hospital.

At an inquest held to-day on the body of Terence Mcllugh, 71 years of age, who was found drowned in the Waimakariri near White's Bridge on Sunday morning, a verdict of accidentally drowned was returned.
