-Mi'. Taft, speaking ut .Springfield, Illinois, pointed out that the reciprocity agreement would be emu:led by the legislatures, thus enabling either country to withdraw from it at any time by repealing the statute. Reciprocity meant steadier wheat prices. Mr. Roosevelt, speaking at Grand Rapids, Michigan, said that lie was in favor of reciprocity with Canada, as it would mark a signul advance in the closer relations of the two countries. He added that lie desired a change in the American Constitution, abolishing the electoral college method of electing presidents.
