Buyers will not ay more than enough for immediate requirements. There is a prospect of improvement to-day. Choicest New Zealand to-day 104s, Danish 118s,.Australian 100s, Siberian 102 a.

Cheese. —Thq, market is slightly weaker, and there is less demand. White 575, colored GOs. t t Hemp.—The market is somewhat steadier. New Zealand good fair spot £l9 ss, fair grade £l3 15s, fair current, Manila £lB las. Forward shipment New Zealand good fair per ton £1!) ss, fair grade ■£ 18 15s, fair current Manila £ li> 15s.

• Mutton and Lamb.—River Plate shipments received during January, 1911, are as follow:—London: Mutton 80,000 carcases, lamb 31,109 carcases; Liverpool: 99,174 and 01,707; Hull: 23.000 and 1000; Southampton: 8210 and 0783; Cardiff: 4121 and 2578; Plymouth: 1250 and 500. Totals: Mutton 221,815 carcases, lamb 103,077 carcases; January 1910, mutton 134,000, lamb 18,207. Butter to all ports 5344 cwt.
