Mr. Buxton, President of the Board of Trade, replying to a deputation from the Trades' Union Congress, declined till' suggestion that trades' union officials .should be supplied on application with the name and wages paid by Anns ofi'ering employment through the labor exchanges, lie added that such a course would undermine the T*ahor Department.
