CORRECTING THE CHART. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. Melbourne, February 10. Mr. Tudor, Minister of Customs, has received from the Admiralty a communication dealing with a reported error in the shipping chart of the New Zealand coast, regarding the position of King Island. Admiral Poore reports that the Cambrian investigated the matter, and found the true position of the island should <be S. Lat., 34 degrees Ornin; E. Long., 172 degrees Bmin Rscc North by. 68 ] / 2 miles and West by 31.8 miles from Cape Rcinga.
