GOOD TEMPLARY
EGMONT LODGE, NO. 112. The usual meeting of the lodge was held last night in St. Mary's Hall, when there was a good attendance of mem-, bers. The office of pianist for the com-! ing quarter will be filled by Sis. Street. It was decided to hold a lodge picnic in a fortnight's time, the locality to be agreed upon later. The programme carried out during the evening was as follows: Harmony (in charge of Bro. G. Hayden) was opened with a pianoforte solo by Sis. Street, followed by a song by Bro. J. Roch. Then followed a recitation by Bro. Hedley, stump speech by Bro. J. Salt, and song by Sis. Eusdcn. Bro. J. C. Legg then read some lines culled from "The Templar" in reference to Sis. Grinley, missionor, of Leicester, who is expected to hold meetings in the lodge's new hall during the early part of the year. Bro. Rickctts then gave a selection on the auto-harp, which was' much appreciated, the item demanding an encore, and this was followed by recitations by Bros. Pepperell and J. C. Legg, and Sis. E. White. Members were then treated to some character reading by Bro. Hartnell. One sister and three brothers went up for inspection. The lodge was then closed by the C.T. with the usual ceremony, after a most beneficial and enjoyable evening. The programme for next week is the reunion of past and present members, and a hearty welcome is given to all to be present.
