EXPORT OF APPLES
EMISSARY FROM A LONDON FIRM,

At the monthly meeting of the Canterbury Fruitgrowers' Association, Mr. Capes, representing a London ilrm, gave a quantity of information regarding the shipment of apples from New Zealand to the London market, and gave examples of the prices brought in June and July by apples from West Australia. The chairman stated that there were only small crops in Canterbury this year, but there was every prospect of good crops next year. New markets would have to be looked for shortly. Mr. Capes stated that as low as twenty-five cases would be accepted by his firm, ns all they wanted was a fair trial and u fair comparison.
