BURGLAR CAUGHT RED-HANDED. Wellington, Tuesday. A burglar was caught red-handed in a second-hand dealer's shop in Manners street a little after 11 o'clock last night While passing the premises, occupied by Mr. Thomas Costello, a civilian's attention was attracted by a disturbance inside. He informed Constable D. Shaw at the Manners street police station,' and the latter, having impressed two or three passers-by into the service to watch in case of any attempt on tat part of the burglar to break away, entered the shop and caught his quarry with a parcel of goods made ready for removal. The man was lodged in the Manners street lock-up.
