METAL QUOTATIONS.
Received 7, 11.35 p.m. London, February 7. Copper.—On the spot, £55 lis 3d; three months, £SO 7s Cd. Tin.—On the spot, £IBB ss. lIAWERA RAM FAIR. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., held their annual ram fair at Hawera on Saturday last. Over 400 rams were catalogued, the principal breeds represented being RomneyMarsh, Lincoln, Southdowns, ami Border and English Leicesters. The rams were a fair lot, and sold well, Romneys and Southdowns being mostly in favor; there was also a fair demand for Lincolns of good quality, while Leicesters were almost unsaleable. The following prices were obtained: On account of Mr. J. R. Corrigan, stud Romneys bred by Mr. J. 0. Batchelor (Palmerston North), 8 1 /. to lOgns; flock Romneys 3% to 4%gns; account Mr. T. Struthers, Lincolns, V/to l%gns; Mr. R. il. Nolan, Lincolns, l 1 to 2%gns, Ronmevs "-"/.gii.s; Sir. J, F.'Pcasc, Lincolns •>»/, 'to sgns; Mr. E. J. Riddiford, Romneys .iy 4 to S'/sgns; Mr. R. D. Rogers, Southdowns (bred by Messrs. Crov Bros., Blenheim) 5 to 6gns; Mr. A. S. Tonks, Lincolns l-'/agns; Mr. Wm. Willis, Romneys 2'/ 3 to 3y s gns. Aged Romneys brought % to 2gns, and aged Lincolns % to lVsgns.
