Dunlop and Keith ; (Scottish Commissioners). There was or'" f good first-day attendance. The Judge* comments were to the effect that all the ' stock was in wonderfully good fettle. ; The principal results were: Maiden '.- Hunters, Northcott's Mischief; in the \ pony classes the winners were, S. J. * Sanson, Fred Hoult, M. Movnaaan, A. « D. Williams. In harness horses, Hoult and Sons, Miss Grace Robertson, H. E. , Hocken, J. Goring-Johnston secured firsts, and in draughts, J. D. Mitchell, ) E. Short, and J. P. Connor. In the pedigree cattle section T. Duncan was first f' in Shorthorns; E. Short and C.'A. J, I Levctt witli Hercfords; T- Colpan and ' ;i J. M. Watt, with Ayrshire*; and S. R. j Lancaster with Jerseys. In the dairy ■" classes, Lancaster was the principal win- ■ f ner. and R. Charmley runner-up. With } fat cattle, T. Duncan, E. P. Swainson, T and E. Short divided the first prizes. In • the fat sheep classes, W. Reid and P. 8. ', Mcßae were the leading exhibitors. In * pure-breds, Ronmcya, W. Gibson, J. K. - ** Hewitt; Lincoln". J. W. Hradev, both '!, championships; Border Leicesters, Jos. Dowthwaite was the most successful; English Leicesters, S. R. The Scottish Commissioners were entertained to-night at a dinner by the Chamber of Commerce, and afterwards at a smoke concert by the A. and P. Association.
