RUSSIAN MURDER SENSATION
EVIDENCE AGAINST DELACY. AN UNSAVORY STORY. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 7, 9.15 p.m. St. Petersburg, February 7. Delacy's typewriter was produced in Court, and the President dictated a letter. Delacy took several minutes in typing two lines, and then broke down. Experts disagreed when asked to identify the typewriter with Delacy's letter. The President dictated a letter, which Delacy wrote by hand, to test him in French spelling, and Delacy repeated the principal errors contained in the letter found in Dr. Pantchenko's rooms, and alleged to have been written by him. Numerous witnesses gave evidence of his complete moral and financial untrustworthiness. It was alleged that he had arranged a conference at a hotel whereat several bogus Russian Ministers and high financiers were present, and in consequence of representations made at the meeting a Polish millionaire advanced Delacy £7OOO.
