PETROLEUM NEWS.

At a. meeting of the directors of the Taranaki Petroleum Company last night, amongst other business, a large number of preference shares was allotted. It was decided to order a further large supply of 8-inch casing from Australia for the No. 5 bore. At the works at Moturoa everything is progressing satisfactorily. Oil is flowing at both No. 2 and No. 3 bores.
