TARANAKI WINTER SHOW
DAIRY PRODUCE COMPETITIONS. Valuable cups have been presented by the New Zealand Shipping Company and the Shaw Savill and Albion S.S. Company for competition at the Winter Show under the auspices of the Taranaki Agricultural Society, that of the former company for factory cheese and the latter for factory butter.
At, the meeting of the committee of the society held 011 Wednesday evening the following conditions were agreed upon: —
N.Z. Shipping Company's trophy.—For the best erate containing two lull cream N.Z. Cheddar cheese suitable for export, white or colored; no cheese to be less than COlhs in weight. Open for all factories in New Zealand. The inscription on this cup will be: "Presented by the N.Z. Steamship Company, Ltd., to the Taranaki (Metropolitan) Agricultural Society, 1911, for best crate factory cheese suitable for export." Sliaw Savill and Albion S.S. Company, Ltd.—For best box factory butter suitable for export, sGlbs net. Open to all factories in New Zealand. To be selected by the society's nominee from the exhibitors' butter stored at the Moturoa or other freezing works at least six weeks previous to the show. Order to the freezing works to deliver to the society to accompany entry. The society will be responsible for the obliteration or protection of the brand during judging. The inscription will be as follows: "Presented by the Shaw Savill and Albion S.S. Company, Ltd., to the Taranaki (Metropolitan) Agricultural Society, Ltd., for best box factory butter j for oxport, sGlbs."
