The attention of farmers is called to the sale which Mr. Newton King is holding at King road, Bell Block, on Friday next on account of Mr. A. J. Ingley. Though Mr. Ingley is only a recent arrival in the district his herd of cows is well-known, having been purchased by him in one line from the previous owner of the property, and supplemented with some fine grade Jerseys. Anyone requiring really first-clas dairy cows would do well to attend this sale, as it offers an opportunity to farmers seldom met with in the district.
Intending vendors are requested to note that the ram fair advertised to be held at Mr. Newton King's Stratford yards on February 24th, has, owing to dates clashing, been postponed till Thursday, March 2nd.
Messrs. Matthews and Bennett notify large entries for their Matau sheep fair on Friday next. Buyers wishing to attend the sale are requested to communicate with the auctioneers to ensure seating accomodation to and from the sale.
