A GAMBLER'S SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Paliiatua, Last Night. An inquest was held this afternoon on the body of Francis Edwin Storey, tailor, found yesterday in a bathing hole in the Mangatainoka river with a bullet wound in his head. A verdict was returned that death was caused by a bullet wound, self-inflicted. The police produced a letter written them by deceased, stating that he had been gambling heavily and had lost every shilling. Thi! letter also indicated where the body would be found.
