BRITISH POLITICS
THE PARLIAMENT BILL AND HOME • RULE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, January 29. Mr. Bonar Law, speaking at Manchester, said that the Lords would not pass the Parliament Bill until they were swamped by the creation of new peers, and if this were done Home Rule would be the rock on which the Liberal Party would split. It was impossible to carry such a measure by fraud. Were the attempt made, Irish loyalists would be right to resist by all means, including force, and the majority of the British people would support them.
