A PECULIAR BUSINESS
"TOO BIG A FOOL." By Telegraph.—Press Association. Whangarei, Saturday. A note signed ''Norman Kearle," thu name of the man missing from Hikurangi since Monday, was found pushed under the door of a constable's residence, bearing the words "Made too big a fool of myself to return. Going to be a parson. Good-bye." It is generally concluded that Kearle had a mental kink.
[Kearle was the man who wrote a note including the words "Good-bye. everybody," before he disappeared, and stated that as this life had not been much of a success he was going to try the next.]
