XEW HALF-MILE RECORD. By Telegraph.—Pres? A-ssooiation. Auckland, Last Night. The New Zealand swimming record for half a mile was lowered by M. E. Champion to-night to limin. S.sec. The former record of 12min. 41 sec. was put up by Reg Healy. A RECORD RECOGNISED. Christchureh, Last JJight. At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association to-night, on the motion of the representative of the Auckland centre, it was decided to reinstate W. Fi,tzgibbons. who was disqualified in 1007. The Council decided to officially recognise M.
