The Pacific Coast Steamship Company's steamer from Cottage City, Seattle, to Skageway, grounded at Cape Mudge, British Columbia, in a blinding snowstorm. The passengers escaped in the boats before the vessel sank, am} were landed at the lighthouse. One boatload is missing, and it is feared the boat has met with disaster.
