At the enquiry into the Beron murder, Eva Fitterman, Morrison's lover, gave evidence that she saw Morrison wearing a five-pound piece as a attached to his watch-chain. The prisoner in court vehemently denied this, and alleged that her evidence was a lie, the result of jealousy. He cried: "Do you know you are taking mv life?" Other evidence showed that Beron wore a five-pound piece.
