In the Chamber the Foreign Minister, referring to the Potsdam pourparlers, said he was convinced that the interests of Turkey in the Persian Gulf will not suffer thereby. He denied that pourparlers had taken place between Germany and Great Eritain upon the question of the Bagdad railway. Turkey had been assured that such pourparlers would only take place with Turkey. The greatest cordiality existed in the AngloTurkish relations. The Chamber approved the statement.
