SATURDAY COMPETITIONS. The weather was again favorable for the matches on Saturday afternoon. Inglewood went down badly before the Law on the liiglcwool ground, and New Plymouth vanquished Egmont Village on the country wicket.

IXGLEWOOD v. LAW. TheXew Plymouth Law team found the Inglewood wicket to their liking, and the. •bowling grew stale. The result was that, with four wickets gone, the innings was declared closed, the board showing a score of 203. Lash was in good hitting form, and contributed 88; Greatbatch (4!.), Bewley (31), and ClapI'ham (23) also appreciated the bowling. The home team made 09 all told, I'iillen (•23) and Thomson (K>) being the only double-figure scorers. Law thus won by 134 runs.
