TAUHERENIKAU TRAINING CAMP
* THE FORTNIGHT'S WORK. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, Last Night. The first fortnight's work at Tauherenikau training camp come to a conclusion to-day, and general leave wag granted until Monday night. All ranks have been grounded in squad drill, rifle exercises, and skirmishing. A preliminary examination was held during the day. Next week instruction will be given in mounted work, as both officers and non-commissioned officers will have to deal with mounted men in their various areas, as well as infantry. There will be instruction in saddlery, and lectures on horsemanship. A series of lectures will be given by Captain Hamilton, adjutant to the camp, on the duties of an adjutant and camp quartermaster. Captain H. H. Browne will deliver a \ series of lectures on the duties of a quartermaster.
